The Netmag team got hands on Nokia 3310 the phone that carries a legacy of 16 years is back. After unboxing we have thought of sharing basic details of our personal experience with this device, detailed review will be posted later. Before we go sharing specs and features with you let us first tell you that this phone was globally introduced at MWC Barcelona a few months ago and finally NetMag got hands on this magnificent device. HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, has proudly announced a classic reimagined – the Nokia 3310. It speaks for itself. There were many other products at the mobile world congress, but the Nokia 3310 was the hero of the hour. Everyone was praising the Nokia 3310. The colors of the 3310 and other features are also very nice. I personally think that Nokia is the master of retail business.

Thin, light and incredibly durable, the Nokia 3310 is a head turning modern twist on one of the best-selling feature phones of all time. Boasting an incredible 22-hour talk-time and month long standby, the Nokia 3310’s fresh, colorful, modern design brings it bang up to date.

After unboxing we got a charger supporting a micro USB jack, it’s removable battery and a casual handsfree. The box also includes guide and warranty card from Advance Telecom, which is the only official distributor of Nokia phones in Pakistan till now.

The new 3310 is no longer a “brick.” It’s a lot rounder than the old one—it feels like a well-worn river rock. I actually would have liked if it was a little squarer and more reminiscent of the original. Given that it has a really light plastic body (79g) and a plastic screen, it can probably stand up to lots of abuse (though no one would let me test this at the event).

Like everything about the Nokia 3310, the screen is tiny. It has a 240×320, 2.4-inch color (!) display with a polarized layer, which should make it easier to see in the sunlight. The tiny screen paired with a dead-simple OS leads to tons of battery life. Nokia is promising a month of standby time out of the 1200mAh removable battery, and we certainly think that it’s not a bad option for Rs. 6500/- to meet your old love.

I always believed that Nokia would indeed one day bounce back and after unboxing I was reassured of my belief. Everyone knows What Nokia is. When you mention Nokia to anyone, the first thing that comes to mind is a phone. No one needs to be told that Nokia phones are reliable because everybody already knows.

It’s all about the brand, and when a brand such as Nokia is launched, and then we know that it would take a step further with multi-dimensional strategies. It would consider everything. And the launch of the 3310 just further proves that Nokia wants to touch every tab, and wants to consider every category.
