Chinese tech giant in Xiaomi is currently working on the announcement of the Redmi K50 series in China. Within the series then, the Redmi K50 Gaming edition then ends up offering a rather impressive 120W fast charging support. However, it now appears that this too soon might be outpaced as Xiaomi is looking towards the prospect of even a more faster charging solution.
This latest news comes our way thanks to weibo. In accordance with what a tipster has said, Xiaomi is indeed looking on to push the limits of fast charging technology. Going by the social media post, it has indeed been added that both the Redmi K50 Gaming edition as well as the Redmi K50 Pro+ go on to offer 120W fast charging as 100W fast charging respectively – courtesy of course of the brand’s 6c dual cell battery design.

With the aid of the 120W fast charging solution, the Redmi K50 Gaming edition would end charging in just 17 minutes and so the 150W solution would invariably make way for even faster charging times of course.
It has also been added then that the Chinese tech giant has already gone on to prepare for a fast charging solution faster than that of 120W – which is already ready for mass production as well. This will then be somewhere around 150W and would also likely feature on the next generation flagship smartphones such as the Xiaomi 12 Ultra or perhaps the Xiaomi MIX lineup.
