WhatsApp, the popular messaging platform has made another major change to its minimum requirements. It will no longer support iOS 10 and iOS 11 beginning in October.
WaBetaInfo, a well-known WhatsApp leaker, has revealed that the notification will be displayed on iOS devices older than iOS 12. The iOS 12 requirement is also noted in a WhatsApp support document.
This means that the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5c models released by Apple in September 2012 won’t be able run WhatsApp. Temporarily, however, iPhone users with newer models that have not yet updated to iOS 12 or later may also be affected.

If you have an iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 or iPhone 6, and it’s still running iOS 10, September 2016, then you can use WhatsApp. You can’t use WhatsApp until you have the most recent iOS update for your handset.
You have until October 24th, to make a decision about how you will handle the WhatsApp-mandated iPhone update. You will still receive notifications from the app warning you about possible loss of access in fall. Remember that new iPhones will be available in September and current iPhone models will receive price discounts.
