NEW DELHI: India’s in-form superstar player Virat Kohli was left out of the 18-member team selected by selectors on Thursday for the five-match Twenty20 series in West Indies.
Former captain Virat Kohli 33 is going through a long stretch of lean times and hasn’t scored 100 since the year the year 2019. His future is currently the focus of debate within the country he is obsessed with cricket.
The national selectors didn’t confirm whether the top order batter was finally removed or simply resting due to injury issues prior to the T20 World Cup in Australia.
Ace Off-Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin returned to the T20 format, and so will opener KL Rahul, and right-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav, if they can prove their fitness and are able to earn their places.

India’s captain of all formats Rohit Sharma will be the captain of the team that is dominated by pace, with a number of superstars who made their mark in the Indian Premier League T20 tournament.
These five games will take place at three venues: Trinidad, St Kitts and Lauderhill in the US state of Florida.
