Babar Azam’s lengthy reign as the most successful T20I player worldwide has been ended with the cricketer who is a close friend, Mohammad Rizwan, has been appointed to replace him.
Rizwan’s impressive run of form during the 2022 Asia Cup has seen him rise into the top spot of the T20I rankings. Rizwan has already scored two outstanding half-centuries at the event and also a match-winning knock against the arch-rivals India at the Super Fours game.

Babar Babar, on his part has been unable to challenge the scorers in his three appearances in the tournament to date. He has not been able to reach his highest, not scoring even a half-century in the tournament.
Both Pakistani batters have played superbly throughout the past year, and have been dominating the T20I rankings from the start of the year. They will also be trying to improve their ranking when their Men in Green gear up for an end of the 2022 Asia Cup.
