The Apple M2 Pro and M2 Max processors will be available in the 2023 MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch editions as well as in the Mac mini with the new Apple M2 Pro and M2 Max processors. This announcement finally came after there had been many leaks and delays. Besides the update of connectivity options, there are also lower starting prices for the MacBooks and the Mac mini.

You now have the option of configuring the MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch with the M2 Pro and M2 Max processors. In terms of CPU performance, these chips are up to 20% faster than their predecessors, while GPU performance is up to 30% faster. It is also possible to choose any configuration that you desire with Apple’s products.

I have included two options for the M2 Pro and M2 Max, respectively. Depending on your needs, you can choose either a 12-core CPU and 16-core GPU or a 10-core CPU and 19-core GPU with the M2 Pro. There are two configuration options for the M2 Max: either a 12-core CPU with a 30-core GPU or a 12-core CPU with a 38-core GPU.

In addition to the new processors, there are also updated unified memory configurations, with the M2 Pro offering 16GB and 32GB options, while the M2 Max offers 32GB, 64GB, and 96GB options. As well as the built-in flash storage that can be configured from 512GB up to 8TB, you can also add external hard drives. There are various versions of the phone available, but the cheapest will have 16 GB of memory and 512 GB of storage.

Moreover, the 14-inch model comes with a battery life of 18 hours, which can also be used for wireless web browsing and 18 hours for video playback. The 16-inch model on the other hand can be used for a maximum of 22 hours of video playback and 15 hours of browsing the Internet wirelessly.

There are also improved connectivity options available with the new MacBook Pro models. With Wi-Fi 6E, you now get faster wireless connectivity than ever before. In order to support 8K at 60Hz, HDMI has been updated to version 2.1, which allows it to support 4K at 240Hz as well as 8K at 60Hz.

In addition to the MacBook Pro 14-inch, there are three variants available at $1999, $2499, and $3099. Whereas, the 16-inch is available in $2499, $2699, and $3499 variants. It is possible to configure all of Apple’s models with all of the options available through the online store of Apple.

Apple Mac Mini:

The new Mac mini also comes with the M2 and the M2 Pro processors. It also now has a lower starting price of $599. The Mac mini has the M2 processor for the $599 and $799 models, which has an 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU. Both of these have 8GB unified memory as standard but can be configured manually with either 16GB or 24 GB.

The $1299 model comes with the M2 Pro with a 10-core CPU and 16-core GPU as standard but can be configured with the 12-core CPU and 19-core GPU variant. It includes 16GB of unified memory and can be upgraded to 32 GB. The M2 models can be configured with up to 2TB storage while the M2 Pro model can be configured with up to 8TB. There is no M2 Max option for the Mac mini.

All new Mac mini models come with Wi-Fi 6E. However, the M2 Pro model also includes the new HDMI 2.1 port as well as four Thunderbolt 4 ports instead of the two on the M2 models.
