As of February 13, 2023, Mercedes-Benz is recalling some imported GLE SUVs and GLS SUVs manufactured between July 19, 2021, and August 3, 2022, a total of 70 vehicles from the period.
In some of the vehicles within the scope of this recall, there is a possibility that the locking bolts of the steering coupler have not been tightened according to the torque specified. As a result, there may be a gap between the locking bolts and the steering coupler, which can cause further loosening due to vehicle vibrations. If the locking bolt fails to retract into the steering coupler, the vehicle is likely to have poor handling and may be at risk of a collision in extreme cases.

For the recalled vehicles, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. is replacing the locking bolts of the steering coupler through authorized dealers for free and tightening them according to the standard torque in order to eliminate the safety hazard.
It has been announced that EQE Limited is recalling some domestic EQE electric vehicles with production dates between September 18, 2022 and October 29, 2022, a total of 223 vehicles.
In the recalled vehicles, the software control logic for the high-voltage battery management system is set unreasonably, which could lead to an abnormal shut down of the insulation measurement device (IMD) inside the high-voltage battery, resulting in the high-voltage battery losing power and the vehicle losing power while driving, posing a safety risk.
There is a safety hazard associated with high-voltage battery management systems, which is why Mercedes-Benz Automobile Group Ltd. will update the software for the recalled vehicles through authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers without charge.
