Sarfaraz Ahmed has made the decision to step down as captain for the upcoming season, as confirmed by the team owner, Nadeem Omer. The announcement cited Sarfaraz’s desire for a break from captaincy.

In light of this, Shane Watson and the management have made a decisive move in appointing new leadership for the team. Rilee Rossouw, a prominent batter, has been entrusted with the role of captaincy. Alongside him, Saud Shakeel, a talented player, has been named vice-captain. This decision is anticipated to infuse the team with fresh energy and perspective as they embark on their PSL campaign.
The combination of Rossouw’s seasoned experience and Shakeel’s vibrant energy is expected to form a formidable duo for Quetta Gladiators.
