The government of Pakistan has announced a historic relief package for Azad Kashmir, accepting popular demands by issuing notifications to reduce electricity and flour prices.
An over 23 billion rupee relief package has been announced for the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Following the relief package, the current price of 40 kilograms of flour has been reduced by 1100 rupees from 3100 to 2000.

In Azad Kashmir, 20 kilograms of flour will now be available for 1,000 rupees, while 40 kilograms of flour will be available for 2,000 rupees.
On the other hand, the Department of Energy in Azad Jammu and Kashmir has also issued a notification reducing electricity rates.
For domestic use, electricity rates will be 3 rupees per kilowatt-hour for units 1 to 100, 5 rupees for units 100 to 300, and 6 rupees for usage exceeding 300 units.
For commercial use, electricity rates will be 10 rupees per unit for usage up to 300 units and 15 rupees per unit for usage exceeding 300 units.
Furthermore, in response to other demands, approval has been given to establish a judicial commission to review the salaries of senior government officials.
In response to these historic and positive steps, the People’s Action Committee has ended their protest.
For the first time in history, all demands have been extraordinarily accepted by the government.
This historic relief package by the government has thwarted the nefarious objectives of enemy forces.
