The federal government has decided to appoint Rashid Mahmood Langrial, currently serving as Secretary of Power, as the new Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
Sources indicated that the Establishment Division has proposed Langrial for the FBR Chairman role. This decision comes as the current Chairman, Amjad Zubair Tiwana, has requested early retirement due to personal reasons.

Rashid Mahmood Langrial has been in his role as Secretary of Power for nearly two years. It’s worth noting that his name was previously considered for the FBR Chairman position a year ago, but the role was eventually given to Amjad Zubair Tiwana.
