The AI University initiative follows the Punjab government’s approval of the IT City project earlier this year in March. Spanning 853 acres (or 6,824 kanals) near PKLI in Lahore, the IT City is set to become a major center for technological innovation and education.

In addition, Chief Minister Nawaz revealed an extensive scholarship program with a budget of Rs. 25 billion. This program aims to support talented students in accessing education at leading institutions like LUMS, IBA, COMSATS, and FAST, among others.

Maryam Nawaz also emphasized the potential of the scholarship program to enhance youth employment. She expressed optimism that the IT skills gained through this initiative would significantly reduce job search times for young graduates. “After acquiring these IT skills, young people will find jobs quickly without having to search for long,” the Chief Minister remarked.
