The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been granted permission by the district government to hold a rally in Lahore’s Kahna area on Friday. Initially, PTI had sought approval for a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan, but after reviewing police reports, the deputy commissioner provided a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the Kahna venue.

Previous reports indicated that Jallo Park was considered as a potential rally location. The district administration, however, has imposed 43 conditions for the event, with the deputy commissioner formally issuing the notification.

According to the notification, PTI’s rally is scheduled for September 21, from 3 PM to 6 PM. Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has been asked to issue an apology for his remarks at the September 8 rally, and security arrangements for the event will fall under the organizers’ responsibility.

PTI leader Ishtiaq A Khan, addressing the media, stated that the party could not guarantee whether Ali Amin would apologize, as that decision rests with him.

In a separate development, the deputy commissioner met opposition leader Ahmad Khan Bhachar, who proposed concluding the rally by 11 PM.

It’s important to note that PTI had initially announced plans for the rally at Minar-e-Pakistan. Earlier today, the Lahore High Court directed the deputy commissioner to make a decision regarding PTI’s rally permit by 5 PM. This directive was issued during a hearing of a petition filed by PTI leaders Aliya Hamza and Sheikh Imtiaz Mehmood, who had requested permission for the Minar-e-Pakistan rally. The case was heard by Justice Muhammad Tariq Nadeem and Justice Farooq Haider.
