Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented on the strikes in Lebanon, stating that Israel had vowed to shift the balance of power in the north and is currently fulfilling that promise.

Netanyahu explained that Israeli forces are targeting and destroying thousands of missiles and rockets stored in Lebanon that are aimed at Israeli cities.

He acknowledged that more difficulties lie ahead and urged Israelis to remain united and follow government guidance.

The escalation followed an attack by Hezbollah on the Israeli coastal city of Haifa yesterday. In response, Israeli warplanes launched heavy bombardments across multiple areas in Lebanon today.

Foreign media reported that Israeli aircraft conducted 80 airstrikes on the city of Nabatieh in just 30 minutes, claiming to target Hezbollah positions.

Reports suggest that today’s assault was the largest aerial operation by Israel since the beginning of the Gaza conflict, with simultaneous strikes on both northern and southern Lebanon.

An Israeli military spokesperson warned Lebanese civilians to avoid Hezbollah locations, stating that strikes will continue until the “threats are neutralized.”
