PDWP Approves Rs 20.59 Billion for Three Key Development Projects
The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) met on Friday and approved three significant development projects totaling Rs 20.59 billion. The meeting, chaired by Barrister Nabeel Awan, Chairman of the Planning & Development Board, focused on several crucial initiatives.
Key Projects Approved
- Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER):
A comprehensive door-to-door socio-economic survey will be conducted, with an estimated cost of Rs 9.17 billion to establish the PSER.
- Lodhran-Kheror Pacca-Mailsi-Vehari Road Phase II:
The second phase of the road’s dualization, covering the remaining 20km, is estimated at Rs 4.35 billion. - Rehabilitation of Gujrat-Sargodha Road:
The road spanning 94.3km, from Km 27.90 to 122.20, will be rehabilitated for Rs 7.06 billion.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Asif Tufail, Secretary of the Planning & Development Board, Chief Economist Masood Anwar, board members, and senior officials.
