The National Stadium was spectacularly inaugurated following extensive renovations and upgrades aimed at ensuring a magnificent hosting of the Champions Trophy. The grand event was graced by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Governor Kamran Tessori, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, and Federal Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.

A large number of dignitaries, including provincial ministers, senior officials, renowned cricketers, and citizens, gathered to celebrate the occasion. The ceremony marked the completion of the first phase of a Rs. 3.5 billion renovation project. The event was highlighted by a vibrant musical program.

Popular artists such as Ali Zafar, Shafqat Amanat Ali, Sahir Ali Bagga, and more, enthralled the audience with captivating performances. Guests also enjoyed a visual experience displayed on two large digital screens placed inside the stadium, adding to the excitement.

A mesmerizing laser light show, made possible by newly installed LED lights, further enhanced the spectacle. The grand celebration concluded with a breathtaking fireworks display that lit up the night sky.

Best of all, the event was free for the general public to attend, making it a truly inclusive celebration for the citizens of Karachi.
