PTI Unable to Accept COAS’s UK Reception, Says Information Minister
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has stated that PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) could not tolerate the honor and respect given to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) during his visit to the UK. He emphasized that legal action will be taken against those staging protests and running anti-state campaigns on social media.
Warm Reception for Army Chief in the UK Enhances Pakistan’s Prestige
Tarar highlighted that the COAS was warmly welcomed in the UK, which contributed to Pakistan’s global dignity and prestige. He added that the world recognizes the professionalism of the Pakistan Army, and patriotic Pakistanis have rejected negative propaganda.
Legal Consequences for Anti-State Activities
The Information Minister warned that anyone involved in actions harming Pakistan’s sovereignty, national security, or interests will face legal consequences. He claimed that PTI’s anti-state agenda aims to create division and unrest in the country.

Pakistan’s Economic Progress and Overseas Pakistanis’ Role
Tarar also discussed Pakistan’s economic improvements, citing:
✔ A 32% increase in remittances
✔ Positive economic indicators
✔ The role of overseas Pakistanis in supporting Pakistan’s economy
He criticized PTI for attempting to create chaos despite the country’s progress.
PTI Accused of Sabotage and Anti-State Activities
Tarar accused PTI of attacking defense installations, setting Jinnah House on fire, and desecrating martyrs’ memorials. He alleged that PTI leaders had written letters to the IMF, which he described as proof of their hostility toward Pakistan.
He further claimed that PTI lacks a clear political agenda and resorts to activities such as:
- Opposing Pakistan’s economic growth
- Protesting against the Army Chief’s visit
- Engaging in disruptive social media campaigns
PTI’s Political Decline and Government’s Resolve
Attaullah Tarar asserted that PTI’s political downfall is inevitable and their conspiracies will fail. He stated:
“If you cannot tolerate Pakistan’s dignity, keep sulking—your conspiracies will fail.”
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting national interests and ensuring that Pakistan continues its path toward development and stability.
