The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has officially declared Monday, March 3, 2025, as a Bank Holiday across the country. This holiday coincides with the first day of Ramadan and is designated for Zakat deduction.
Banks to Remain Closed for Public Dealing
As per the official notification, all banks, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), and Microfinance Banks (MFBs) will be closed for public transactions on this date. However, banking employees must report to work as usual, as the day will be treated as a working day except for customer-facing services.

Digital Banking Services to Remain Operational
Customers are advised to plan their banking activities in advance, as physical branches will be closed. However, digital banking services, including ATMs, online banking, and mobile banking platforms, will remain fully operational during the holiday.
Regular Banking Operations Resume on March 4
The banking sector will resume normal public dealings on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Customers can visit their respective banks or check the State Bank of Pakistan’s official website for further information.
