Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a key meeting with a delegation from Chinese space technology firm GalaxySpace, led by its Chairman Xu Ming, to explore investment and collaboration opportunities in Pakistan’s growing space technology sector.
During the meeting, the GalaxySpace delegation expressed a strong interest in investing in Pakistan’s space industry. The discussions focused on a wide range of collaborative possibilities, including satellite development, telecommunications, and satellite internet services.
Prime Minister Shehbaz underscored the strategic importance of space technology for Pakistan’s future and reaffirmed China’s status as the country’s most trusted ally and strategic partner. He conveyed Pakistan’s desire to deepen cooperation with China across multiple domains of space research and technology.

The Chinese delegation also explored potential joint ventures with Pakistani space agencies and private telecom companies. They highlighted the potential mutual benefits of such collaborations in strengthening both nations’ technological infrastructure.
The delegation shared that their meetings with officials from the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication and SUPARCO had been highly productive. They appreciated the warm reception and the numerous avenues for meaningful cooperation.
The meeting was attended by several senior Pakistani officials, including Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima, Prime Minister’s Adviser Dr. Tauqir Shah, as well as Secretary IT and Telecom Zarar Hashim, PTA Chairman Hafeez Rehman, and Member Telecom Muhammad Jahanzeb.
