Islamabad IT Park: A New Hub for Innovation and Digital Growth
This Independence Day, Pakistan will receive a landmark gift — the inauguration of a modern Information Technology Park in Islamabad on August 14, as announced by the Government of Pakistan. This cutting-edge facility is poised to reshape the country’s digital landscape, offering a transformative boost to tech startups, freelancers, and software export companies.
A Major Milestone for Pakistan’s IT Sector
The Islamabad IT Park spans 66,893 square meters and will be housed in a multi-story structure featuring two basements, a ground floor, and nine upper floors. It will accommodate 120 office spaces for IT and IT-enabled services (ITeS) companies, along with a dedicated startup incubation center consisting of 15 private offices to nurture innovation and entrepreneurship.
Comprehensive Business & Academic Support
The park will also include a Business Support Center, offering legal, financial, and marketing guidance to help small enterprises scale effectively. An Industry-Academia Linkage Center will create direct collaboration channels between universities and the tech industry, helping students gain practical experience and promoting a culture of innovation and R&D.

Pakistan’s First Tier III Data Center
One of the park’s standout features is the establishment of Pakistan’s first Tier III Data Center, ensuring uninterrupted power, advanced security, and high-quality data management—signifying a major leap for Pakistan’s digital infrastructure.

In addition to Islamabad, the government has also announced plans for another IT Park near Karachi airport. Both facilities aim to bridge the infrastructure gap in Pakistan’s growing IT sector, especially benefiting freelancers, startups, and emerging tech firms.
