The much-awaited film Abir Gulaal, starring Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor, has had its release delayed due to the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir.
Originally slated for a May 9 release, the film’s promotional activities have been paused in response to the tragic incident. At this point, no new release date has been announced.
As part of its promotional campaign, two songs from the film, ‘Khudaya Ishq’ and ‘Angreji Rangrasiya’, had been uploaded to YouTube by the production house and music label Saregama. However, both songs have since been removed from YouTube India. The exact reasons for the removal remain undisclosed, but it follows the postponement of the film’s release.

Abir Gulaal had already generated significant buzz on social media for uniting talent from both sides of the border, with Pakistani actor Fawad Khan returning to the Indian film scene alongside Bollywood’s Vaani Kapoor. The romantic drama, set against the picturesque backdrop of Kashmir, was anticipated to feature colorful visuals and a compelling soundtrack.
With the release now on hold and the songs taken down, the future of the film’s promotional strategy remains unclear. The production house is expected to provide further updates soon.
