Raiders halfback Jamal Fogarty has reportedly informed coach Ricky Stuart of his decision to leave Canberra, signing a lucrative three-year deal with the Manly Sea Eagles.
According to Code Sports, the 31-year-old has agreed to a $2 million contract that will see him step into the halfback role vacated by the departing Daly Cherry-Evans. Fogarty is said to have met with Stuart on Tuesday morning to deliver the news, following weeks of deliberation over his future.
Despite the impending move, Fogarty will remain with the Raiders through the end of the 2025 NRL season. Stuart has confirmed that the experienced No.7 will continue as the club’s chief playmaker for the remainder of the campaign, having delivered a string of strong performances this year.

The Raiders had the option to trigger an additional year in Fogarty’s contract but failed to do so. Instead, they offered a two-year extension in an attempt to fend off Manly’s interest—a bid that ultimately fell short.
Looking ahead, rising talent Ethan Sanders is set to take over as the Raiders’ long-term solution in the halves following Fogarty’s departure.
