In its official statement, NADRA highlighted several key upgrades to the redesigned ID card. Among the most notable is the inclusion of bilingual information, with data displayed in both English and Urdu. This move is intended to ensure uniformity across domestic government databases and international documents like passports.

One of the major technological additions is a QR code, which allows users to verify their identity digitally via the Pak ID mobile application. This feature enhances convenience and security in digital authentication scenarios.

NADRA has also introduced exclusive features tailored to certain citizen groups. For example, individuals registered as organ donors will now have a special symbol displayed on their ID cards, which will also carry lifetime validity. Likewise, persons with disabilities will receive cards marked with specific identification symbols, also valid for life.
