Pakistan’s armed forces have officially named their retaliatory military campaign against India “Bunyan-un-Marsoos,” a term symbolizing strength, unity, and resilience. The announcement was made by Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, following a series of Indian missile strikes on Pakistani airbases.
Derived from a verse in the Holy Quran, “Bunyan-un-Marsoos” translates to “a wall built of molten lead,” symbolizing an unbreakable defense and national solidarity. The operation was launched in response to India’s unprovoked missile attacks targeting three Pakistani airbases, including one near Islamabad. Pakistan’s advanced air defense systems intercepted most of the incoming missiles, averting large-scale damage.

In retaliation, Pakistan executed a series of precise missile strikes on multiple Indian military installations, significantly escalating tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors. Military officials emphasized that the operation also serves as a solemn tribute to the innocent children who were killed during India’s aggression.
The naming of “Bunyan-un-Marsoos” conveys a powerful message: Pakistan will not tolerate any violation of its sovereignty and will respond with strategic force and unity. The campaign underscores the nation’s unwavering commitment to defending its borders and honoring those who have suffered due to cross-border hostilities.
