Donald Trump Praises Pakistan and India for Preventing Conflict, Commits to Stronger Economic and Diplomatic Ties

Former U.S. President Donald Trump praised the leadership of Pakistan and India for their decisive actions in de-escalating recent tensions that had the potential to spiral into a large-scale conflict in South Asia.

Just one day after a ceasefire agreement, Trump commended the strong and courageous leadership of both nations for their efforts in halting aggressive military actions. He emphasized that these steps prevented what could have been widespread devastation and the loss of millions of innocent lives.

Trump described the moment as historically significant and called the actions of the Pakistani and Indian leaders “brave and heroic,” suggesting their decision would be remembered as a legacy-defining event. He acknowledged the role played by the United States in supporting the diplomatic process and aiding both countries in reaching the ceasefire agreement.

In his statement, Trump also announced his commitment to strengthening economic ties with both nations. “I am going to increase trade substantially with both of these great nations,” he declared, indicating a future focus on improving commercial relations between the U.S., India, and Pakistan.

Beyond economic cooperation, Trump expressed a strong desire to contribute to a long-term resolution of the Kashmir issue. He acknowledged the deep-rooted nature of the conflict but remained optimistic: “After a thousand years, we can perhaps find a solution to Kashmir that works for everyone.”

The statement was met with positive responses from many political analysts, who praised Trump’s diplomatic tone and his balanced approach to a highly sensitive regional conflict. However, critics voiced skepticism about the practicality of a permanent Kashmir solution, citing the long-standing historical and territorial complexities.
