After days of speculation, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is officially back on track. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has confirmed that the landmark tenth edition of the league, PSL X, will resume on May 17, following a temporary suspension due to regional tensions sparked by the Pakistan-India conflict.
The league had reached a pivotal stage before being paused amid growing security concerns. With improved conditions, the PCB is moving forward with a revised plan, implementing strict security measures and potentially limited crowd attendance. Karachi and Rawalpindi are being considered as primary venues for the remaining matches.

The final has been scheduled for May 25. Before that, four group-stage games will be played, followed by four playoff fixtures. Quetta Gladiators are the only team to have secured their place in the playoffs, while Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, and Peshawar Zalmi are vying for the remaining spots.
The PCB is also coordinating with foreign players to confirm their return, and early signs indicate strong willingness from international cricketers to participate.
More than just a sporting event, the return of PSL X symbolizes Pakistan’s resilience and commitment to its cricketing future. Despite the compressed schedule and logistical challenges, fans can expect a thrilling finish to the season.
