The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) sealed 102 illegal commercial buildings and premises defaulting on commercialization fees during a major enforcement operation across multiple city areas on Monday.
The Town Planning Wing of LDA sealed 30 properties in Gulberg and Faisal Town, 43 in Shadman, Shah Jamal, Gulshan-e-Ravi, and along Canal Bank Road, and 29 in Wahdat Road and Sabzazar Housing Scheme. The crackdown targeted unauthorized commercial use and non-payment of required commercialization charges.

Sealed premises included well-known outlets and institutions such as Bundu Khan Sweets & Bakers, Fazal Sweets, Risen Cash & Carry, Servis outlet, Baby Hub, Abdullah Mall, Ice Land, Supreme Pharmacy, Shifa Medical Centre, The Candour School, and Stem Academy, as well as food spots, workshops, offices, and other commercial businesses.
The operations were overseen by Chief Town Planner Assad-uz-Zaman and carried out with the assistance of the LDA enforcement teams and Punjab Police. LDA officials confirmed that prior notices had been issued to the defaulters before action was taken.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has instructed continued strict enforcement against illegal commercial activities and fee defaulters across Lahore.
