Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called for peaceful coexistence with India and the resolution of the Kashmir dispute through dialogue, during Youm-e-Tashakur celebrations marking Pakistan’s military victory over India in the Marka-e-Haq operation.

Speaking at the Pakistan Monument, he emphasized that Pakistan wishes to live as a peaceful neighbor and highlighted the futility of past wars between the two countries. He also recounted Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war against terrorism and the economic toll it has endured.

Shehbaz Sharif commended the armed forces for their swift and effective response to Indian aggression, including the downing of Indian jets and missile attacks on Indian military targets. He credited the successful defense to the leadership of military chiefs and the unity of the Pakistani nation.

He thanked friendly countries including the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, China, Kuwait, and the United States—specifically President Donald Trump—for their support. The PM urged the nation to now focus on economic progress and national development.
