The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) has formally requested implementation reports from all State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), regulatory authorities, attached departments, and ministries regarding their full adoption of the E-Office system.
This directive comes in response to a cabinet decision dated May 19, 2025, which stressed the urgent need for government institutions to transition to the digital platform to boost operational efficiency and transparency.
A follow-up notification issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) on May 20, 2025, reiterated the cabinet’s stance, mandating the immediate integration of all SOEs and regulatory bodies into the E-Office framework. The original deadline for complete implementation across all ministries and divisions was set for December 31, 2024. Entities are now required to submit signed certificates as proof of compliance, which MoITT will compile into a consolidated report for the Prime Minister’s Office and the Cabinet Division.

To encourage swift and effective adoption, the government has introduced a performance-based incentive system. The top three ministries or divisions demonstrating the best E-Office integration will receive public recognition on August 14, 2025. This initiative is aimed at fostering healthy competition and reinforcing a culture of digital governance.
Cybersecurity has been prioritized as a crucial aspect of the E-Office rollout. The cabinet has instructed the Ministry of IT and Telecom to ensure comprehensive cybersecurity measures across all digital platforms. Additionally, administrative secretaries have been urged to raise awareness within their departments about the critical importance and urgency of transitioning to the E-Office system.
