Aurat March Islamabad has announced a peaceful protest demanding justice for Sana Yousaf, a 17-year-old girl who was brutally murdered in her home. The protest will be held on Thursday, 5th June 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Press Club, F6, Islamabad.

In an official statement, the organizers expressed deep sorrow and anger over Sana’s killing, calling it a heartbreaking example of the systemic gender-based violence that continues to plague society. They stressed that her murder is not an isolated case, but part of a larger pattern of violence against women and girls that often goes unpunished.

Aurat March has urged citizens, students, activists, and allies to join the demonstration in solidarity, to remember Sana’s life and demand justice. The group’s key demands include the immediate arrest and prosecution of those responsible, a transparent and regularly updated investigation, and the implementation of stronger protections for women and girls, both online and offline.

Organizers emphasized the importance of remembering Sana’s name, face, and humanity while standing against patriarchal violence that seeks to erase women from public consciousness.
