The Kingdom of Morocco has announced 10 fully funded scholarships for Pakistani and AJK students for the 2025–26 academic year. These scholarships will enable students to pursue undergraduate, master’s, and PhD studies in various disciplines at public universities and institutions in Morocco. The announcement was made by Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Fields of study include Medicine, Engineering, Management Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, Architecture, and more. Eligible candidates must meet academic and age requirements specific to the degree level.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must be Pakistani or AJK nationals and not hold dual nationality.

  • Undergraduate applicants: At least 12 years of education (FSc/A-level), age under 23.

  • Master’s applicants: 16 years of education.

  • PhD applicants: 18 years of education.

  • Valid HAT or USAT scores are required, depending on the program level. Shortlisting will be merit-based.

Language Requirements:
Most programs in Morocco are taught in French, particularly in science, technology, and economics. Selected students will undergo a French orientation course in 2024–25, possibly through centers like Alliance Française in Pakistan.
For degrees in Arabic or Islamic Studies, applicants must already be proficient in Arabic.

Application Process:
Candidates must apply online via the HEC portal at: scholarship.hec.gov.pk under the “Moroccan Govt Scholarship Program” section. Hard copies of documents are not required at the initial stage. Shortlisted applicants will later submit the following:

  • Academic transcripts

  • Statement of purpose

  • Recommendation letters

  • Medical certificate

  • Police clearance

  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) for employed candidates

Advisory for Professional Degrees:
Students applying for professional programs (Medicine, Engineering, Law, etc.) must ensure their chosen programs are recognized by relevant Pakistani professional councils such as PMDC, PEC, and PBC. PMDC has issued specific guidelines for foreign medical admissions which should be reviewed before applying.

This initiative offers Pakistani students a chance to study abroad, gain international exposure, and serve as academic ambassadors of Pakistan.
