Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced changes to several international flight paths, including those to Toronto, Paris, and key Gulf destinations, due to escalating regional tensions and airspace restrictions over Iran linked to the Israel conflict.
A PIA spokesperson stated that all flights to Gulf nations, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the UAE, are now being rerouted through Omani airspace. These flights will follow routes via the Muscat Flight Information Region to ensure the safety of passengers and flight operations.

Long-haul flights to destinations such as Toronto and Paris have also been redirected to avoid Iranian airspace and instead utilize routes under Oman’s jurisdiction.
These route modifications are part of PIA’s broader strategy to maintain uninterrupted international operations while adapting to the changing geopolitical and airspace landscape in the region.
