Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved an ambitious Rs. 100 billion interest-free loan program to support wheat growers across the province.
Chairing a high-level meeting, she directed the formulation of a detailed strategy to boost wheat production while reducing the financial strain on farmers. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of lowering input costs before the upcoming wheat sowing season and instructed officials to ensure an uninterrupted fertilizer supply along with targeted subsidies for small-scale wheat farmers.

The plan will see the disbursement of interest-free loans worth Rs. 100 billion ahead of cultivation, giving farmers a strong financial foundation for the season.
