Pakistan is facing several challenges, and one of them is the worsening condition of its health care facilities. As a result of inadequate infrastructure development and neglect, Pakistan’s healthcare system continues to fail and suffer from numerous setbacks.

The poor health conditions suffered by millions of Pakistani people are a major cause for concern. In order to improve the condition of Pakistan’s poor facilities in healthcare, Government of Pakistan is planning various facilities that will address each and every one of these issues.

The poor condition of Pakistani clinics and hospitals are mainly due to unavailability of adequate resources. Lack of infrastructure means insufficient funds to operate them. Resources mean adequate number of qualified personnel.

Qualified staff can only perform their duties if they are properly equipped with necessary medical supplies and equipment. Similarly, lack of qualified and adequately trained personnel also causes poor healthcare facilities in Pakistan.

A small number of medical schools are capable of imparting quality education in medical sciences to future doctors, but majority of such institutions lack proper infrastructure and expertise.

Since the majority of poor health facilities in Pakistan are unprofessionally run, they lack the ability to provide quality service. Lack of proper infrastructure also makes it difficult to provide proper medication. This further contributes towards deteriorating condition of poor health facilities in Pakistan.

The lack of proper training and inability to provide quality service make poorer health facilities in Pakistan incapable of addressing basic healthcare needs and demands. They have neither the expertise nor the capacity to serve the needs of patients in a timely manner.

In addition, they face numerous risks like exposure to communicable diseases and infections. To correct all these deficiencies, Pakistan needs to improve its overall capability to improve healthcare.

All these problems have made it difficult for clinics and hospitals to expand their services. They also have not been able to provide advanced life support services to those who need them.

Even though there is no shortage of resources, the poor infrastructure and lack of skilled staff have made it difficult for medical facilities to expand at a rapid pace. Despite all these, there has been a remarkable improvement in overall quality of life in the country over the last decade.

Health improvements can only be effectively promoted through effective management and monitoring. With the right kind of strategies, poor health facilities can effectively address the issues related to improved hygiene, infection control and maintenance, maternity care and family planning.

Moreover, they can help improve general conditions and quality of life. For instance, integrated family planning facilities and improved access to quality maternity care have made significant progress in improving overall conditions of poor health facilities in the country.

Technological advancements and changes in attitudes have helped improve the efficiency of various procedures like delivering quality babies at birth and ensuring that mothers feed their babies on time.

However, despite these improvements, many women are unable to breastfeed due to a lack of expertise or inability to find hygienic areas in the public sector. Mothers are also susceptible to infections when they leave their babies at daycares and hospitals.

In such scenarios, it has been seen that mothers return home with contaminated milk and newborn babies are at high risk of contracting viral and bacterial diseases. This has led to a surge of interest in improving the conditions for breastfeeding in public places.

Poor nutrition has been a major factor hampering the development of children’s health. Over the past few decades, there has been an increase in the consumption of junk food, resulting in stunted growth and weak body functions.

A small percentage of people indulge in junk food on a daily basis, but the impact of this unhealthy habit on their children is very high. As a result, there is a marked deficiency in the intake of essential vitamins and minerals in children.

The reasons for the same are lack of awareness about healthy nutrition, exposure to unhealthy practices during birth and early childhood and a rise in the consumption of fast foods.

Pakistan is facing numerous threats from international terrorism and domestic violence. The health sector in Pakistan is suffering a great deal due to which the overall health system is suffering tremendously.

Due to this, Pakistan is rank aldehyde ranked 122 out of 190 countries for a World Health Organization’s performance index. It is one of the most backward regions of the world when it comes to health index ranking.

Lack of health care is the greatest challenge Pakistan is facing at the moment. The lack of proper health care infrastructure is a big concern all over the world especially developing countries.

A large number of Pakistani people are deprived of adequate health care facilities. Even though the government of Pakistan has taken vital steps to improve the condition of its primary health care facilities, progress has been very slow.

Primary health care in Pakistan is very poor. There are only two major hospitals in Pakistan, of which only hospital in Karachi is equipped with all modern amenities. T

he Government of Pakistan has taken vital steps to build new medical institutions but in the mean time almost all the medical institutions in Pakistan have remained inadequately equipped.

Lack of availability of quality equipment and proper maintenance has been the main reasons behind the poor performance of primary health care. Moreover, the Government has also failed to take any steps to upgrade the infrastructure of these medical institutions.

Lack of availability of skilled staffs and timely attention to emergency cases have also been a considerable contributing factor in poor performance of primary health care facilities in Pakistan.

Many children die before they reach the age of five because of diseases and ailments such as diarrhea, measles, polio, etc.

Pakistan has many child health centers, where doctors and other health care professionals give special treatment to the children. The policy encourages the participation of parents at child health centers so that they can give proper guidance to the children. T

he programs also aims at reducing the infant mortality ratio and improving the health of the newborns. There are numerous child health centers in Pakistan. These centres are run by the NGOs.

The NGOs operate the central local health centres and they conduct free immunization camps for children. At these camps children get vaccination schedules done according to the current schedule of the country’s health centres.

The programs are implemented in the rural areas as well as in the urban centers and they are given proper guidance by the professionals.
