Pakistan leg-spinner Yasir Shah was named the fifth most successful wicket-taking bowler in Pakistan in Test cricket after he surpassed the legendary spinner Abdul Qadir in the first Test match against Sri Lanka at Galle Stadium.

Shah required two more wickets to send Sri Lankan batters, Kusal Mendis and Angelo Mathews back to the pavilion for the very first test match in Galle to take on the legendary leg-breaker Abdul Qadir.

Yasir Shah who made his return to the national squad after an absence of nearly one year He is currently just behind Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Imran Khan, and Danish Kaneria on the list. He reached the milestone in only 47 games.

Yasir Shah has became the world’s first international player in 2014 He is one of the most fast Pakistani bowler to score 50 wickets in Test cricket and is the second fastest bowler in the history of Test cricket to score 100 wickets and the fastest to get 200 wickets.

In the current first Test game in Galle, Pakistan is in an excellent position after an excellent performance by the bowling team on the opening day of the game.

Shaheen and Yasir both took two and three wickets respectively, Naseem, Hasan, and Nawaz each picked up one wicket. Dinesh Chandimal who made a double century against Australia is currently in the 53rd position.
