Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has decided to extend its Alto range by offering a brand new model. Called Alto VXR, this new model is an automatic version that is less expensive.
Alongside a transmission upgrade VXR AGS comes with other options like hill-start assist as well as an anti-lock brake technique (ABS). But, to get these upgrades buyers have to pay an the additional amount of fees of Rs. 144,000 more than the basic VXR version, which amounts to the total amount of the amount of Rs. 2,120,000.

Alto is a K-car which has replaced that legendary Suzuki Mehran in 2019. Its main rivals within Pakistan include Prince Pearl and United Bravo.

It’s a naturally-aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine 660cc in size that puts out 38 horsepower as well as 56 Newton meters (Nm) in torque that it transmits to front wheels via a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission, based on the version.
Alto includes basic attributes like:
- Dual-airbags (VXL and VXR, VXR AGS)
- AC
- Touch-sensitive infotainment device (VXL only)
- ABS (VXL and VXR AGS)
- Power Windows (VXL only)
- Hill-hold assistance (VXL and VXR)
- Immobilizer
- Keyless entry
- Power door locks
Despite recent production cuts as well as price hikes and the reported concerns about quality control, Alto has been the most popular car sold in Pakistan since it was launched. But, with the ongoing problems with its operation and a new cycle of price increases coming it could be hindered.
