Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) – one of the most important players in the Pakistani automotive industry – has quietly removed its CBU cars from its official website in what appears to be a surprising move.

In a visit to the company’s website, it is apparent that only locally assembled models such as the Alto, WagonR, Cultus, Swift, Bolan, and Ravi are currently being displayed.

As part of PSMC’s CBU line-up, Vitara, Jimny, and APV models are available. Due to the fact that the automotive industry has been experiencing stiff competition in recent months, the move is likely to be driven by low sales. It is important to note that the discontinuation of Ciaz and Mega Carry by the PSMC is part of this development.

Considering the features that the Jimny and APV have, their current price tags of Rs. 6,049,000 and Rs. 6,290,000 are considered exorbitant. In April of last year, PSMC raised the price of Jimny by Rs. 1,459,000 and the price of APV by Rs. 1,615,000, respectively.

Jimny and APV sales significantly slowed down as a result of these price hikes, which is probably why the company decided to discontinue these vehicles in the first place.

PSMC has been contacted by a number of media outlets regarding this matter and has been asked for a comment. There has been no official statement from the company in this regard, however. As soon as PSMC releases its statement, it will be added to this article.
