The federal cabinet has approved a 15 percent increase in pensions for federal government employees.
Additionally, the cabinet has sanctioned a substantial salary hike for federal government employees. Employees in grades 1 to 16 will receive a 25 percent increase in their salaries, while those in grades 17 to 22 will see a 20 percent rise.

It is noteworthy that provincial governments are expected to follow this trend, raising the pensions of their employees by 15 percent as well.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to announce both decisions during his address to the parliament later today.
