The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather warning for the southeastern region of Sindh due to a potential cyclonic storm. The system, currently located 270 km east-southeast of Karachi and over the Kachchh district in India, is expected to develop into a cyclonic storm within the next 24 hours.

The deep depression, progressing westward from India at a speed of 12 km/h, is anticipated to reach Pakistan’s coastal areas late Thursday or early Friday. As it intensifies, it could bring strong winds and very heavy rainfall to several districts in Sindh, including Karachi, Tharparkar, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Matiari, Umarkot, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, Jamshoro, Dadu, and Shaheed Benazirabad.
Fishermen and individuals working near the coast are advised to avoid going to sea until the end of this month to ensure their safety.
