Tensions Rise as Speculation Surrounds KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur Amid Islamabad PTI Protests

The situation in Islamabad remains tense as the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) continues its protests for another consecutive day on Saturday. Adding to the uncertainty, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has become the subject of widespread speculation, with concerns about a possible arrest.

Reports from various activists and journalists suggest that Gandapur has been removed from the party’s WhatsApp groups, though no official confirmation has been provided by the party spokesperson.

Barrister Saif, Adviser to the KP CM on Information, confirmed that Gandapur was last seen with his staff when Rangers entered the KP House. This development has intensified scrutiny, with questions surrounding Gandapur’s current location and his involvement in the ongoing demonstrations.

As PTI leaders and supporters continue to rally in the capital, Gandapur’s absence has fueled rumors within political circles. Opposition leader Umar Ayub has alleged that Gandapur has been taken into illegal custody, a claim supported by Shaukat Yousafzai, who stated that Gandapur had been in negotiations with the administration at KP House.

The arrival of a significant force of police and Rangers at KP House, along with a prisoner van, has only heightened speculation about Gandapur’s potential arrest. With tensions continuing to rise, political observers are closely watching the situation as the internal dynamics of PTI evolve in response to the ongoing protests.
