In a recent incident in Turkey, a man named Mustafa Çabuk was detained along with his followers after allegedly claiming to be a messiah. Çabuk, located in Külcüler village in the Bayramiç district of Çanakkale, reportedly claimed to have a divine connection and is accused of using this claim for financial gain through real estate transactions.

The accusations against Çabuk and his followers involve exploiting religious beliefs for personal profit. This situation reportedly began after the 2023 earthquake, when Çabuk started renting out hotels and homes, claiming that his intention was to help earthquake victims. At the same time, he shared what he described as divine messages online.
