Multan Sultans’ skipper Mohammad Rizwan has confirmed that his team is officially out of the race for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 playoffs, attributing the disappointing exit to recurring mistakes throughout their campaign.
Speaking after their latest defeat, Rizwan remarked, “I think we’re now out of the tournament. It probably makes things easier for the other teams, as the qualification scenarios are now simpler. We lost momentum at key stages, which is crucial in T20 cricket, and that ultimately cost us the game. Unfortunately, we kept repeating the same mistakes.”

Multan Sultans’ PSL 10 journey started on a rough note with a four-wicket loss against Karachi Kings. This was followed by defeats to Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi. Though the team managed to notch their first win against Lahore Qalandars at their home ground, they failed to carry forward the momentum.
A losing streak of four consecutive matches after that solitary win sealed their fate, officially knocking them out of the playoff race. The final blow came in a must-win game against Karachi Kings, where they were handed a crushing 87-run defeat while chasing a mammoth target of 205 runs.
The Sultans’ inability to learn from past errors and capitalize on key moments ultimately led to their early exit from PSL 10, much to the disappointment of their fans and management.
