Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced new measures to combat illegal immigration and serious crimes such as child abuse and human trafficking. Under the new policy, individuals deported from other countries will face a five-year ban on their passports through the Passport Control List (PCL), preventing repeated illegal entries into Pakistan.

A proposal is also under review to add sex offenders to the PCL to strengthen border control and protect at-risk communities. Naqvi thanked the UK for its assistance in tackling illegal immigration, child exploitation, and drug trafficking.

In a landmark move, Pakistan will also launch its first-ever Sex Offender Register to monitor and prevent sexual crimes. Naqvi emphasized the government’s full commitment to using all resources to combat online child abuse and organized crime.
