Joe Biden Diagnosed with Advanced Prostate Cancer That Has Spread to Bones
Former U.S. President Joe Biden, aged 82, has been diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones. While doctors have indicated that the disease is not treatable through surgical means at this stage, recent medical advancements offer patients in similar conditions renewed hope.
Biden reportedly visited a medical facility after experiencing urinary symptoms, which experts believe were likely unrelated to the cancer. However, follow-up tests—including a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test and an MRI scan—revealed the presence of the serious illness.

Although surgery is not being considered, Biden may benefit from modern therapies that have extended survival rates for patients with metastatic prostate cancer. One such approach involves the use of hormone-blocking medications to halt the body’s hormone production, which fuels cancer growth.
For cases where the cancer has spread extensively to the bones, additional chemotherapy or radiation therapy may be administered to control the disease and improve quality of life.
