Deadly Heatwave Forces School Closures in South Punjab After Student Deaths

An intense heatwave sweeping across South Punjab has led to tragic consequences, with two schoolchildren reportedly losing their lives due to heat-related complications. The extreme temperatures have prompted the provincial authorities to announce school closures in an effort to safeguard students from further risk.

In one incident, a student in Fatehpur collapsed and died while playing football on school grounds. In a separate tragedy, a female student in Faqeerwali suffered a fatal heart attack, believed to be triggered by the extreme heat.
