After weeks of intensifying public disputes with former U.S. President Donald Trump, Elon Musk—CEO of Tesla and SpaceX—has made a dramatic accusation via his social media platform X (formerly Twitter). In a viral post, Musk alleged that Trump is listed in the highly sensitive “Epstein files,” a reference to sealed government documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier who was convicted of sex crimes and died in jail in 2019.

Musk wrote:

“Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”

The post has sparked a storm online but has yet to elicit a response from the White House.

This explosive allegation follows a series of public clashes between the two influential figures, triggered by policy disagreements within the Republican Party. Trump has criticized Musk over his stance on a recent GOP bill, while Musk has claimed credit for helping Trump win the last election. Musk, who stepped down from his White House advisory position, has also taken aim at Trump’s economic policies and threatened to scale back political donations. In retaliation, Trump has hinted at cutting federal support for Musk’s companies.

As the political feud deepens, Musk’s latest claim has added another layer of controversy, raising questions about what, if any, disclosures may follow.
