PTA reiterated its zero-tolerance policy on IMEI tampering and mobile cloning, citing serious national security and public safety threats posed by such practices. These illegal modifications allow criminals to operate anonymously, facilitating cybercrime, financial fraud, and even abductions.
The public is urged to remain alert and report any suspicious mobile-related activities. PTA is intensifying regulatory enforcement and warns that all violators will face strict legal action.
