Pakistan Extends Airspace Restrictions on Indian Aircraft Until August 24

The Pakistan Airports Authority has officially extended the existing airspace restrictions on Indian-registered aircraft, continuing the ban on their entry into Pakistani airspace.

As per the authority’s announcement, all aircraft operated by Indian airlines are strictly prohibited from flying over Pakistan. The extended restrictions are not limited to commercial airliners; they also cover both military and civilian aircraft that are either owned by the Indian government or leased by Indian entities.

This renewed ban, which includes all categories of Indian-registered aircraft, came into effect on July 18 and will remain in force until August 24, according to the official statement.

The move reflects ongoing geopolitical tensions between the two neighboring countries, and has implications for regional air traffic routes and airline operations.
