The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has officially extended the deadlines for sales tax integration for a wide range of taxpayers, including public companies, importers, individuals, and associations of persons, under a newly issued SRO.1413(I)/2025 released on Friday.

The FBR has directed that all sales tax registered persons must complete registration and testing of their systems for integration with the Board’s computerized invoicing infrastructure, either via a licensed integrator or PRAL (Pakistan Revenue Automation Ltd.), and begin issuing electronic invoices according to the updated schedule.

This notification supersedes the earlier SRO.709(I)/2025, dated April 22, 2025.

Revised Deadlines:

  • Public Companies

    • Registration & Testing Deadline: August 25, 2025

    • Electronic Invoicing Begins: September 1, 2025

  • Companies with Turnover > Rs. 1 Billion (last 12 months)

    • Registration Deadline: August 10, 2025

    • Testing Deadline: August 25, 2025

    • e-Invoicing Starts: September 1, 2025

  • Other Registered Persons (Non-Corporate Taxpayers)

    • Registration Deadline: November 10, 2025

    • Testing Deadline: November 30, 2025

    • e-Invoicing Starts: December 1, 2025

These new deadlines are part of FBR’s broader digital tax enforcement strategy, aiming to ensure better compliance, transparency, and automation in Pakistan’s tax infrastructure.
