In response to the ongoing national emergency caused by devastating floods, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), in partnership with Cellular Mobile Operators (CMOs), has taken significant steps to support those impacted.

As part of the relief efforts, CMOs are providing free on-net voice calls (calls within the same network) to users in flood-affected regions. This critical initiative ensures that all subscribers, even those with zero balance, can stay connected with their families and emergency services during these difficult times.

Currently, over 72% of the impacted telecom sites have been successfully restored, allowing many affected individuals to regain access to vital communication services. PTA, working closely with CMOs, is making every effort to restore the remaining sites as quickly as possible.

The PTA has expressed its appreciation for the prompt and effective response of CMOs and has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring uninterrupted telecom services. The authority will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide regular updates on the restoration progress.
