Insta360 has confirmed that it will launch its latest action camera, the Insta360 Go Ultra, by the end of this week. Set to debut on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 13:00 UTC, the new Go Ultra will replace the existing Go 3S model.
This new camera promises to be incredibly compact, rivaling the DJI Action 2 in size, making it one of the smallest in the market. The Go Ultra will serve as a direct competitor to DJI’s Osmo Action 6 and GoPro’s upcoming Hero release, further heating up the already competitive action camera market.
While Insta360 has not officially disclosed the name of the new camera until now, recent leaks suggest that the Go Ultra will deliver significant upgrades over the previous Go 3S model. A sneak peek of the camera has been shared via a promotional video, which hints at its design and capabilities. The company is expected to begin pre-orders shortly after the launch event.
